Eric sported a shaggy, casual look with a long, unkempt ponytail and a beard he hadn’t trimmed in four years. Niki hopes that with a new hairstyle and wardrobe, her “caring and selfless” single dad — who takes care of her and her sister — might be able to get back on the dating scene.


“My dad is always taking care of everybody but himself,” Niki said. “He deserves this makeover — I want him to know I appreciate him.”

Jim describes his style as comfortable and low-key and claims he hasn’t had a haircut in over two years. With TODAY’s help, he hopes to donate at least 10 inches of his gray hair to Locks of Love.


“He's always put us first,” Franny said. “He never really spends money on himself. [A makeover] would be nice for him to better his appearance.”
