Perfect, perfect, perfect situation for Samuel. Why? Because he is not a shutdown corner who can be relied upon to simply suffocate the other team’s best receiver. He’s quick but doesn’t have great top-end speed. He is a playmaker. The attacking style of Jim Johnson’s defense and the fact Philly has a safety like Brian Dawkins playing in the secondary with Samuel combine to allow him to take risks and make plays on the ball. In four seasons with the Chargers, Turner, 26, basically got a season’s worth of work – 228 carries for 1,257 yards (5.5 YPC) and six touchdowns. Things won’t be the same in Atlanta. First off, LT won’t be tenderizing the defense for three quarters. Secondly, the Falcons offensive line isn’t quite as good as San Diego’s. Thirdly, neither are the Falcons quarterbacks, tight ends and wide receivers. So Turner will take serious punishment. He’s 27 years old, 6-foot-4, 320 pounds and rolled up 14 sacks for the Packers over the past two seasons before being dealt to the Browns on Friday. He did that damage playing defensive tackle in the Packers 4-3, now he’ll be playing defensive end in a 3-4. What’s the difference? Generally, the 3-4 is a less penetrating defense – defensive linemen hold the point of attack and allow linebackers to fill, fill, fill. If the defensive line gets upfield, creases are created and 1 or 2-yard runs become 5-yard runs. Williams is the perfect build to be an anchor similar to the Patriots' Ty Warren, a player who doesn’t have huge sack numbers but wrecks offenses and leads to three-and-outs."; spts_Curran_DecentDozen[i++] = new Array("","5. This is my sleeper pick as the best signing in free agency. Stallworth is as tough after-the-catch as any wideout in football because he’s stupid fast, has a low center of gravity and is jacked. You have to like this Jags secondary a lot. Rashean Mathis, second-year man Reggie Nelson and a ballhawk like Florence are going to make it very interesting for the Colts, Titans and Texans. He’s a lunchpail guy and at 6-foot-4, 278 pounds he’s not big enough or fast enough to be more than that.
