They were up three games to two in the NLCS and held a 3-0 lead in the eighth inning of game six with ace Mark Prior on the mound.<p>Luis Castillo was up in the eighth when he lofted a popup down the third-base line, but when outfielder Moises Alou leaped up to catch it, a fan named Steve Bartman reached out and deflected the ball out of Alou's range.<p>Alou was incensed, and Prior went on to walk Castillo, opening the floodgates to an eight-run Marlins' outburst. <p>The Marlins went on to win the NLCS and eventually, the World Series.
