Standout running back Marshawn Lynch is suspended for the season&#146;s first three games. For a team that needs to hit the ground running, that makes for tough sledding. Irked by his agitating for a bigger contract, the Bills traded Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters to the Philadelphia Eagles. They don&#146;t have to listen to him complain anymore. Linebacker Bart Scott, left tackle Willie Anderson, receiver Derrick Mason, kicker Matt Stover, fullback Lorenzo Neal, center Jason Brown, corners Chris McAlister and Samari Rolle, safety Jim Leonhard and defensive coordinator Rex Ryan are all out the door. That&#146;s a huge chunk of talent and experience to try and replace. <br><r/><br>2. With the surprise mid-July retirement of Derrick Mason, an already suspect Ravens&#146; receiver corps lost its most productive player (Mason had 80 catches for 1,037 yards last year). Meanwhile, running back Willis McGahee is coming off ankle and knee surgery &#151; and his least productive pro season (670 yards). After 14 years, Mike Shanahan was unexpectedly fired and replaced by Josh McDaniels, formerly the Patriots promising young offensive coordinator. Within two months, McDaniels had so offended the sensibilities of franchise quarterback Jay Cutler by considering other options at QB, Denver had to trade him to Chicago. Since then, wideout Brandon Marshall also asked to be traded. And public confidence in McDaniels and new GM Brian Xanders is, to understate it, pretty low. <br><r/><br>2. Kyle Orton is Denver's new quarterback. There&#146;s a ton of talent on the Broncos offensive line, a fleet of running backs (rookie Knowshon Moreno, former Eagle Correll Buckhalter and LaMont Jordan among them), a good tight end (Tony Scheffler) and Marshall and Eddie Royal at wideout. The Broncos should be able to put up points. <br><r/><br>3. The Broncos' defense &#151; poor last season &#151; remains old. Their big secondary addition was 36-year-old safety Brian Dawkins. Up front, they will remain unimposing unless rookie Robert Ayers, third-year man Jarvis Moss and Elvis Dumervil manage a pass rush. Asking an aging secondary to cover for too long because of an ineffective pass rush is a recipe for allowing 30-off points per game.<br><r/><br><a href=\"http://www.scoreboard.msnbc.com/msnbc/main.asp?frames=0&sport=nfl&cat=TS&team=7\" target=blank><b>Click here for Denver's schedule</b></a><br><r/><br><a href=\"http://www.scoreboard.msnbc.com/msnbc/main.asp?frames=0&sport=nfl&cat=TRost&team=7\" target=blank><b>Click here for the Broncos' roster</b></a><br><r/><br><a href=\"http://www.rotoworld.com/content/Depth_NFL.aspx?sport=NFL\" target=blank><b>Click here for depth charts</b></a>";

Quarterback Carson Palmer says his arm is 100 percent heading into camp. Under Dungy, the Colts became extremely resilient. After a 3-4 start in 2008, they finished on a nine-game winning streak. That&#146;s the mark of a good program. <br><r/><br>2. The key to Indy&#146;s season is the offensive line. In 2008, they finished 31st in the NFL in rushing, averaging just 79.6 yards per game. The main culprits were the season-long absence of left guard Ryan Lilja and center Jeff Saturday&#146;s injury-marred season. Without the threat of potency from Indy&#146;s stretch play in the running game, the Colts passing game less effective as well. Lilja appears to be back to 100 percent, and the Colts added rookie Donald Brown to complement Joseph Addai at running back. Starting at wideout, Reggie Wayne is a clear-cut No. 1, but Anthony Gonzalez needs isn't a rock solid No. 2 yet. There is no clear cut favorite for the third wide receiver spot. Vinatieri, 36, had offseason right hip surgery. Spagnuolo will bring an attacking style to the Rams' defense, which has lacked an identity since Lovie Smith left. Rookie James Laurinaitis is expected to start from day one at middle linebacker. The Rams need a big year from &#145;08 second overall pick Chris Long. Second-round pick LeSean McCoy gives the Eagles an explosive runner off the bench to pair with Brian Westbrook, who is coming off ankle surgery, and may not be ready for camp. Left tackle Jason Peters, a trade acquisition, is a massive improvement. First-round pick Jeremy Maclin adds to the deepest receiver group of the McNabb/Reid era. This should be an explosive offense. <br><r/><br>2. McNabb got a nice pay raise. The franchise and its star quarterback admit they are essentially pushing for two more years to win a championship together. After that, McNabb will be 35 and the sides may part ways. Aaron Kampman, for instance, was one of the league&#146;s best defensive ends. Now he&#146;ll play outside linebacker for the first time in his career. Franchise building block linebackers A.J. Hawk and Nick Barnett will also see their roles tweaked. <br><r/><br>2. The Packers are a lot more talented than last year's 6-10 record indicated. Perhaps Pierre Thomas, the former undrafted free agent, should lead New Orleans in carries. He&#146;s a potential breakout star. <br><r/><br>2. The Saints are expected to be without starting defensive linemen Charles Grant and Will Smith while they serve four game suspensions.
