Owens received a warm welcome when he arrived in Philadelphia. Then he received a kick in the pants when he was shown the door.
His feud with Donovan McNabb included stalking the quarterback up and down the sideline during a game and suggesting the Pro Bowler was tired during the Eagles’ Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots. T.O. also said the Eagles would be better with Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre.
Owens and McNabb exchanged several barbs through the media, but T.O. ultimately found himself out of a job, and out of Philly.

Andy Reid seemed to give Owens plenty of chances to redeem himself, but eventually used his power to take the receiver out of action.
The Eagles head coach suspended T.O. for four games during the 2005 season because of “a large number of situations that accumulated over a long period of time,” and said the receiver wouldn’t play for the team after his suspension ended.
“We gave Terrell every opportunity to avoid this outcome,” Reid said last year.
Reid took action after Owens, among other things, suggested the club showed a “lack of class” by not publicly recognizing the star’s 100th touchdown reception Oct. 23 of last year.

In a verbal attack you would expect in a junior high school locker room, not professional sports, Owens suggested former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jeff Garcia was gay. The remarks came during an interview with Playboy magazine.
When asked if he thought the quarterback was gay, Owens responded, \"Like my boy tells me: 'If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat, by golly, it is a rat.’\"
The news and subsequent denials by Garcia filled the airwaves for days, and was just another example of T.O. inciting chaos by making controversial statements.

Everyone was wondering how Owens would get along with Tuna. It didn’t take long to figure out Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells wasn’t going to treat “the player” differently from anyone else.
Owens strained a hamstring early in training camp, and spent most practices on the sideline slowly pedaling an exercise bike.
Parcells and T.O. exchanged comments via the media, but the coach’s message became abundantly clear: no practice, no play.
Parcells is anything but warm and cuddly, but his expectations are clear. While they won’t be grabbing beers together after practice, don’t be surprised if the gruff coach gets what he wants out of Owens.

This one had all the makings of an epic battle.
It started with Ray Lewis becoming angry after T.O. refused a trade from the 49ers to the Ravens. Then, after signing with the Eagles, the receiver mocked Lewis by performing the All-Pro linebacker’s pregame dance after scoring a game-winning touchdown against the Ravens.
Next, T.O. wondered aloud why he was made to look like a bad guy while Lewis was so popular, despite Lewis’ association to a double-murder in Atlanta.
Get ready for the fireworks, right?
Wrong. That was as far as this rivalry went. Lewis responded in a classy fashion, saying if T.O. showed up on his doorstep, he’d be welcomed with a hug and a meal.
Disaster averted.

While it is entirely possible this item will need to be revisited in the coming months or years, T.O. originally irked the ’Boys as a member of the 49ers.
After scoring a touchdown against the Cowboys, the receiver ran to midfield of Texas Stadium and celebrated his accomplishment, infuriating Dallas players and fans in the process.
Many in Dallas thought his actions were classless at the time, but they might have a short memory if T.O. plays up to his potential and is an offensive weapon as hoped.

Owens recently took a trip to the hospital because of a self-described bad reaction of pain pills and supplements.
The explanation for the events by T.O. and his publicist dispute contents of a police report that originally referenced an attempted suicide.
“These officers, contrary to what Mr. T.O. Owens and his publicist Miss Etheredge alluded to or insinuated or whatever, those officers out there did the job they were supposed to do and did a good job of it,” said Senior Cpl. Glenn White, who leads the largest police employee group in the Dallas department with more than 3,500 active and retired members. “We police officers don’t go out to these calls and make stuff up.”
