It’s enough to make defenders freeze in their tracks.
Smith, a senior, is this season’s textbook example of a dual-threat quarterback, a trend that will not go away, a wrinkle that is becoming more commonplace for college football offenses in the 21st Century. West Virginia’s Pat White fits the mold. Ultimately, so might Florida freshman Tim Tebow, a dream candidate for Urban Meyer’s spread-option offense.
If Smith takes the Buckeyes all the way and wins the BCS title game against Florida on Jan. 8, he might go down as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks of all time (click on players at left).";

Best moment? No question. He had 200 yards rushing against USC at the Rose Bowl, including the winning 8-yard TD run on fourth down.
After college: Left Texas after junior season.
