When Petrino gets this program running on all cylinders, you can be assured of one thing: either he will be looking at other places or other places will be looking at him. If he can turn this around, he&#146;ll be a local hero but will probably be whisked away to a bigger and better job.";

The Rams&#146; accomplishments in his four years as offensive coordinator proves he knows what needs to be done to succeed at Colorado State. If he can handle the subtleties of being a head coach, the Rams could be on the rise again.";

Still, Ole Miss&#146; top five single-season point totals came under his watch.<br><r/><br>Yet while his work there was solid, the bottom line is he produced just one winning record in the SEC.<br><r/><br>He comes to Duke after spending the past two seasons as offensive coordinator at Tennessee.<br><r/><br><b>2008 prediction:</b> 2-10.<br><r/><br><b>Long-term outlook:</b> Cutcliffe has never had a reputation as a solid recruiter, which you absolutely have to be at Duke. And at age 53, he&#146;s going to need some hard-charging assistants from his staff to assist on that front. Even with his offensive prowess, he&#146;s got to be able to recruit players who can be difference-makers in the ACC. His background as a solid quarterbacks coach &#150; he helped coach Peyton Manning, Heath Shuler and Tee Martin in his first stint as a Tennessee assistant -- will help in that area. But that leaves a lot of other areas in which to attract quality athletes.";

That&#146;s the $64 question. And based on Gailey&#146;s tenure, Johnson is not only going to have to win, but win big. Real big. Suffice it to say if Johnson struggles, the alumni will be looking for Johnson&#146;s job as well as Radakovich&#146;s.";

That&#146;s impossible to say at this stage, but he proved he could recruit enough quality players to compete at a national level. If the Warriors continue to expect that kind of success, it likely won&#146;t happen. But there&#146;s no reason they can&#146;t remain a solid, competitive program.";

That gives him a better than average chance to succeed. The rest will come down to recruiting &#150; being the only black head coach among 1-A schools in Texas will help - and his ability to handle all the nuances that come with being a head coach for the first time.";

Northern Illinois certainly has a lot more going for it, and if Kill can recruit as well at this level as he did 1-AA, the Huskies&#146; run of success should continue.";
