That would make it four consecutive championships for the SEC, counting LSU&#146;s title following the '07 season.<br><r/><br>That recent dominance has been prompted by talent. So it&#146;s no surprise that SEC players are highlighted on NBCSports.com&#146;s 2009 preseason All-American team.<br><r/><br>The SEC has nine first-teamers &#150; four from Florida, three from Alabama &#150; including Gators senior quarterback Tim Tebow and senior middle linebacker Brandon Spikes.<br><r/><br>Overall, it&#146;s a group big on seniority. Fifteen of the 26 positions (including specialists) are held by seniors, an indication of the enduring star power this season could hold.<br><r/><br>But this season &#150; in keeping with a recent trend &#150; it starts with the SEC.";

The play everyone remembers, though, was his tone-setting slamdown of Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno early on, letting the Bulldogs know exactly the mood of Florida&#146;s defense that afternoon.<br><r/><br>Spikes briefly considered the NFL draft, but came back for his senior season. If the past is prelude, it will be another season filled with big plays.";

Mays could have fled, too, but his return should be the exclamation point for a remarkably productive college career.";
