Some would call it a spinoff, with some phones being iPhone knockoffs, and more coming in the weeks and months ahead. The most obvious look-alike iPhone feature these phones share is the touchscreen. Some of the phones also include slide-out keyboards for those who prefer that option. The iPhone, though, is the only one that has Apple's software, one of the device's biggest benefits because of its ease of use. But because the iPhone is only sold in the U.S. by AT&T Wireless, if you're not an AT&T fan, you might prefer some of these similar kinds of phones offered by other carriers. ";

The Instinct was awarded \"Most Innovative Product\" at CTIA-The Wireless Association's annual conference in April. Among the phone's features: \"Visual Voicemail,\" which lets users listen to messages in the order they want to hear them. The Instinct is a 3G, or third-generation, device which means it should provide faster Web surfing and e-mail access. It has a 3.1-inch screen, and weighs 4.4 ounces. The phone, originally set to cost around $300, is $129.99 after rebates. Sprint lowered the price in order to better compete with AT&T's pricing on the iPhone, which is $199 for an 8-gigabyte model, and $299 for a 16-gigabyte version.";

(Msnbc.com is a joint venture of Microsoft and NBC Universal.) It's due out in the coming months in the U.S. \"Several of the major carriers will be offering this phone,\" said a company spokeswoman, although specifics are not yet available, nor is pricing. An online search for phone the yielded costs ranging from $650 to $700. The \"diamond\" part of the name definitely goes to the back of the phone's design, which blends \"contrasting design elements of metal and unique geometric facts,\" according to the company.";
