Cell phone headsets are the most common use for Bluetooth technology now. As such, companies that make them are looking for ways to distinguish themselves from the pack. Jabra's new JX20 ($179), the successor to its luxe JX10 headset, is made of brushed, anodized titanium, giving the headset a high-end look and feel. But perhaps more importantly, the JX20 will feature the latest version of Bluetooth, 2.1\+EDR, which means that pairing the headset with a similarly equipped Bluetooth phone should be easier than in the past.
The JX20 will be available in May. Other companies will also be coming out with headsets around that time that use the improved Bluetooth specification, which also features better security.
