TDY_Books_ConnorG[i-1].body = "<headline/><br>Harriet Tubman was a slave. <br>She lived on a plantation, and<br>her childhood was not happy. <p>She had to watch over the baby  <br>of one of her owners, and anytime<br>the baby cried, she got whipped. <p>She had many scars on her back. <p>When she was a teen she saw her<br>owner abusing another slave, and <br>when she said something, he ran.<p>The owner threw a heavy weight,<br>and it hit Harriet. Her head was<br>swimming with blood.  <p>That was not right!  <p>After Harriet escaped, she was <br>the most famous conductor of <br>the Underground Railroad. <br>She risked her life, time and again, <br>to save her family and to help other <br>slaves escape to Canada.<p>This is why she  was called, <br>\"The Moses of her people.\"<p>Harriet was a nurse. And would you<br>believe it, she was even a Union spy<br>during the Civil War!  <p>There was a black man by the name <br>of John Brown, and Harriet helped<br>him with his raid on Harper's Ferry.<p>Then, she fought for women's rights. <p>When she was 93, and her body was<br>frail, and she could not sleep at night <br>because of her head injury,  <p>Harriet Tubman passed away.  <p>We must never ever forget Harriet. <br>She was never afraid to risk her life,  <br>and to help other people to be<p>f   r   e   e.";
