Show reflects life
“Survivor” is a microcosm of life; ultimately the winner IS the strategizer, manipulator and game player in many scenarios of humanity in general. Who often wins elections? Who often racks up decent grades in college? Who often gets the promotion at work? Strategizers and game players. The late NFL Green Bay Packers Coach Vince Lombardi summed it up: “It is not how you win or lose it is how you play the game.” —Tony

Amanda should have won
From the beginning I didn’t like Todd and I didn’t want him in the final four, let alone win! I think it should have been Amanda. I felt like Todd was just standing around and giving directions to people to vote this way vote that way. He lied and backstabbed his way to the top. Was he deserving of the win? NO!!! —Michelle

Yes, Todd deserved to win. He was my second favorite through the series. My first favorite was Denise. I am glad Mark Burnett decided to donate her some money. She deserves to be cut a break! —Lara

Body language tells tale
For a minute, there, I thought JR was going to throttle Todd on national TV. Only time I ever felt anything about JR. Even pro poker players get bluffed sometimes. This one was a beauty. Props to Todd for playing the game literally to the bitter end. It was Amanda’s to lose and boy did she ever. Her body language screamed, “Please, please DO NOT vote for me! I don’t deserve it.” Props to Courtney for staying true to herself and snarking her way into second place. Overall this Survivor was a yawner. I don’t know if it’s finally about run its course or if this simply was not a very good group. I look forward to the Spring’s “All Stars vs. Survivor Freaks” or whatever they’re calling it. —Tom

Todd, call Mitt
I think Mitt Romney should consult with Todd on “The Art of Winning” as Todd best exemplified how to flip flop and they are both Mormon. —John

Best player ever
I hate to admit it, but Todd is the best player this game has had. He was also very lucky, since James and Denise both misplayed their chances so badly. I felt that Courtney was going to win, since she made the most compelling answers to the jury at final Tribal Council. And this is from someone who absolutely HATES Courtney! I hope that the next crop of potential Survivors have taken extensive notes on how this season was played, and I also hope that James is not given another chance by being brought back to the Micronesia season. He was the biggest disappointment of this season for me! —Robert

Save Denise
I think it’s horrible that Denise lost her “lunch Lady” job because her employer said she was too much of a distraction, and now she’s a night shift school janitor! Denise is a great role model for kids; she pushed herself, never gave up and conducted herself with honor and dignity. “Survivor” and Denise fans should swamp that school system with protest letters so that Denise can resume being the “lunch lady”! —Janet
