This Academy Award-winning sequel also stars Robert De Niro as the young Vito Corleone. His almost devil-may-care rise to power stands in stark contrast with Michael’s precarious position as the head of his family. When Michael survives a near-hit, he realizes someone in his family has betrayed him, leading to a classic kiss between brothers with the line, “You broke my heart.” Roth’s Miami house looks like somewhere you might go visit your aging grandmother and be served hard candies; the city’s clean streets are tame when viewed next to scenes of a pre-revolutionary (by mere minutes) Havana. Ent_FiveTop_060727[i-1].body = "“Scarface” (1983): Nowadays, this film about the rise and fall of Cuban-American drug lord Tony Montana (Al Pacino) is primarily a staple of every rapper’s DVD collection. But back in the day, it stirred up controversy. Miami Cubans were upset about their portrayal, and though producers tried to convince them that “Scarface” was an anti-Castro story, they weren’t buying. Ultimately, director Brian De Palma and company shot exteriors in Miami and the rest of the film in Los Angeles. For a while, “Scarface” held the record for the number of times the “F” word is used (thank screenwriter Oliver Stone). Miami becomes the ultimate playground of excess here, even if some of the kids wield chainsaws.";

Ted Stroehmann (Ben Stiller) attempts to win over of his high-school crush, Mary (Cameron Diaz), with whom who he once survived a disastrous date (involving a zipper and a rather sensitive part of his anatomy). Ted hires a detective (Matt Dillon) who trails her to Miami. Great Miami touches here include Mary’s elderly neighbor Magda (Lin Shaye), so tan she’s basically orange (and this was before Charlize Theron was doing it). From the classic hair gel scene to Ted’s run-in with a small terrier, this movie surprises with just how funny it really is.";

Ent_FiveTop_060727[i-1].body = "“Black Sunday” (1977): Based on the book by Thomas “Silence of the Lambs” Harris, this film is the crème de la crème of 1970s disaster flicks. Palestinian terrorist group Black September plans an attack on the U.S. as punishment for our support of Israel (some plotlines are truly timeless). But what gives this movie its wacky ‘70s kick is Bruce Dern playing former Vietnam POW Michael Lander, who didn’t come back with all his marbles and now pilots the Goodyear blimp over football games. Robert Shaw plays the Mossad agent hot on his tail. Though the big climax is meant to take place during the Super Bowl; director John Frankenheimer actually shot it during the 1976 Orange Bowl (due to continuity errors, you can actually see the sign a couple times).";

Ent_FiveTop_060727[i-1].body = "“Miami Blues” (1990): Alec Baldwin plays a sociopath ex-con who decides to make a fresh start in Miami -- which of course still involves robbing people -- in this fun, violent thriller. Jennifer Jason Leigh co-stars as Susie, perhaps the most innocent prostitute ever to walk the planet. She wants a normal life with Baldwin -- one where she can cook him dinners of pork chops and vinegar pie. Add to the mix Fred Ward as a detective who has a rather lovely habit of removing his teeth to talk to people. “Miami Blues” gives both a seedy side of Miami – there’s a great shot of a graffiti behind some drug dealers that reads, “Next time give me what I want” -- and an idyllic all-American one.";
