On Sept. 8, 2008 a jury convicted three on one of the murder conspiracy counts. They acquitted one defendant and failed to reach a verdict on the more specific airline plot murder conspiracy.
In 2009, the seven defendants not acquitted were retried on the charges for which the first jury failed to reach a verdict. An eighth defendant was added to the second trial. On Sept. 7, 2009, a jury acquitted him, but convicted the three alleged ringleaders of the more specific murder conspiracy. One defendant was found guilty of general murder conspiracy. The jury failed to reach verdicts on the remaining counts.";
