Introduction
After a crummy holiday shopping season, you better believe toy manufacturers have got the message that shoppers don't want to spend money, and they're ratcheting down prices.
When the curtain goes up on the Toy Fair starting Sunday in New York, there will be lots of products for under $20 retail, according to Jim Silver, editor of Time to Play Magazine.
\"Consumers are looking for value, and price points are going to be important,\" he explained. One big trend, he said, will be less expensive, smaller versions of a host of board games.

President Barack Obama's green dreams seem to be inspiring some manufacturers to offer eco-friendly toys -- a category Sarah Woods, director of the toy and games store for Amazon.com, expects to be popular this year.
The Green Dollhouse by PlanToys includes solar panels and a barrel for collecting rainwater. Maybe Sasha and Malia will be getting one for Christmas?
